A native of Lexington, Kentucky, Erin Pullen was introduced to horses at a young age. Competing in her first horse trials at the age of 5, she quickly fell in love with the sport and the partnership it provided with her horses.
Growing up in Lexington, Pullen began galloping and training racehorses, while simultaneously retraining retired Thoroughbreds to be event horses. A horse called Big was Pullen’s first upper-level mount, and a horse she had also trained for racing.
Her horse Tag was regarded as a war horse on the racetrack. With 46 starts, he earned his retirement as a sound 8-year-old before finding his way to Pull. She and Tag competed successfully at the 4*/Advanced level.
Pullen currently has three young Thoroughbreds in training, named Fibonacci, Buggs and Straight Up G. She stays busy training and competing with her own horses as well as client’s horses, in addition to teaching and coaching. Her barn is aptly named Go Big Eventing.
